1) Historically the great Bodos were known as Kirates; It is known that in epic book 'Mahabharata' Bodos were mention as the name Kirates.In battle of ten kings Bodo king also took part.
2) Even, if it is believed Bodos were the first settler of the Assam.It is believed that around 2000 years or may be earlier Bodo people started to migrate to Assam.
3)Some historian had tried to proved that Bodo has its own religion it is call 'Bathou'.And this religion has nothing to do with Hindu religion as 'Bathou' is a different religion.
4) Many names of the rivers are name by the Bodo Kachari.

7) Bangla:Derived from the Bodo word Ha-Bang-La(occupy sufficient land).Originally Bengal was Called Bhangabhumi.Later'Bhanga' became Banga.

9) When Bodo Kachari migrated to Assam they went here and there until finally setting in one place.
10) The origin of word "Kamtapur" is also not too far from the Bodo Word-"Khamtha" which means "End of Burning".
